Cardiorespiratory Core


Run by Titled Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapist Mitchell Taylor our Cardiorespiratory Core provides an introduction into the foundations of respiratory care. In this course you will learn about essential respiratory physiology and pathology in order to provide you with all the necessary skills to begin implementing effective, evidence based cardiorespiratory interventions in your patients. This course is designed for:

Course Outline:

  • Understand the physiology of the 4 'Core' chronic lung diseases:
    • Asthma
    • Bronchiectasis (CF and non-CF)
    • COPD
    • Interstitial Lung Diseases (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, Silicosis etc)
  • Understand the presentation and diagnostic pathway for the 4 'Core' chronic lung diseases 
  • Recognise and implement evidence based treatments pathways for the 'Core' respiratory pathologies
